This bachelor thesis aims to understand how video game spaces can be a representation of the evolution of the character's mind throughout their adventure. It explores diver art movements like Surrealism and lyrical films to understand how can the mind be visually represented. All in all, this thesis tends to create a bridge between the character and the environment as those two entities seem to often be separated.

It also invites in a broader understanding of video game spaces, the role they play and the potential they present inside and outside of the gaming industry
